FAQ
Questions from facilities and finance teams
Does it interfere with the water company's meter?
No. It is installed after your water meter, on your side of the supply, and complies with plumbing codes. It does not touch or alter the meter, which stays the water operator's property.
Is it legal to install in Malaysia?
Yes. Under the WSIA 2006 and state water supply enactments, everything after the meter is the consumer's "inside service", which you may modify as long as the meter and supply aren't touched. JKR / SPAN design practice also places check valves behind the meter, and the W-Valve includes one.
Does it reduce the water we use?
You use the same water. The main saving is on cost: you stop paying for the air your meter was counting as water. Its pressure regulation also reduces spikes and leaks.
Will it reduce our water pressure or flow?
No. Pressure is maintained and may rise 1–3 PSI.
Does it work with smart meters?
Yes. It works with both traditional and smart water meters.
Any downtime during installation?
Under 1 hour of water shut-off, with no change to operations. We schedule it around your shifts or guest peaks.
What if we save less than 10%?
The W-Valve carries a minimum 10% savings performance warranty, which applies when the valve is installed within 12 ft of the water meter. T&C apply, and we'll walk you through them with your quote.
How is the saving measured and verified?
We compare your water bills before and after installation, over matching billing periods, so seasonal changes don't skew the result.
How much does it cost? Is there financing?
For ½", ¾" and 1" pipes, the W-Valve is RM3,000, RM4,000 and RM5,000. Sizes from 2" upwards are quoted after the free audit, based on your average monthly bill, pipe size and water pressure. The W-Valve is purchased outright; there is no financing option.
Is any maintenance required?
Minimal. It has one moving part and is designed to outlast its 10-year warranty, with a 40+ year working life.
Can you do multiple sites or meters?
Yes. We audit each meter and plan a multi-meter rollout across your sites.
