How the scheme
pays you back

Solar ATAP is Malaysia's current self-consumption programme from SEDA. Every unit your roof generates serves your own load first — then any surplus is exported to the TNB grid as an energy offset credited against your bill.

The scheme to apply for today

Solar ATAP — the Solar Accelerated Transition Action Programme — is the successor to Net Energy Metering (NEM), which closed to new applications in 2025. It carries forward the same export-offset principle for new rooftop systems. CSSB handles the SEDA application and TNB approvals end to end.
